General
The solid / hollow plug is a key part of the Crystal Industrial’s high pressure access fitting assembly, as the plug body gives the seal to the access fitting, thus keeping up line pressure. The fitting moreover serves a vital role of holding the observing apparatus which is presented to the system, and is the part to which the Crystal Industrial’s Retriever from India joins for the purpose of access and service the observing apparatus.
There are two kinds of plug assemblies which can be utilized as a part of any of the Crystal Industrial’s high pressure access fittings from India:
Solid Plug – utilized in connection with:
• Corrosion coupon holders.
• Injection/Sampling apparatus.
• Bacterial sampling probes.
• Sand probes.
Hollow Plug – utilized in connection with:
• Electrical Resistance probes.
• Linear Polarization probes.
• Galvanic and Hydrogen probes.
At the point when connected with Crystal Industrial’s access fitting from India, the Crystal Industrial’s plug allows accessing the operative system under full working conditions, subsequently eliminating the requirement to close down in order to get important corrosion information.
Crystal Industrial’s Access Fitting bodies from India
For high pressure systems, Crystal Industrial from India offers a retractor gadget which can be used with any retractable probe. This makes an ideal system for insertion and removal of sensors in medium pressure systems.
Crystal Industrial’s Access Fitting components from India can be fabricated in a particular material required by the customer; carbon or stainless steel, duplex materials, or numerous other exotic amalgams.
Crystal Industrial’s Access Fitting bodies from India have an external ACME thread, which is used to attach the service valve in the midst of retrieval operations. Crystal Industrial’s Access fitting bodies from India must everytime be set up with a cover which is produced to safeguard both external thread and the service valve.
Connecting the Access Fitting Body
Crystal Industrial’s Access Fitting Bodies from India with a welded end connection, must be welded according to the codes of the area and plant.
Crystal Industrial’s access fittings from India are made according to ANSI/ASME standards – Description for Taper Pipe Threads. This fitting should be installed by a qualified professional using standard code for narrow pipe threads.
Crystal Industrial’s Flange attachments from India are manufactured according to ANSI – Description for Flanges and Flanged connections. Flange gaskets and stud-and-nut sets are not provided with the access fitting body.
This fitting must be installed by a qualified professional using standard code for flange installation.
General Welding Instructions
1. Make sure whether the system into which the access fitting is to be connected will permit welding.
2. Remove the plug attachment from access fitting before welding.
3. Secure the internal and external threads with a temperature tolerant fabric for protection from weld splatter.
4. Place the access fitting on the line and organize.
5. Install suitable weld opening by setting spacer bars beneath the access fitting.
6. Most steels must be preheated before welding when the fluid or metal temperature is beneath 50°F.
7. Arc welding should be used to lessen warping.
8. Eliminate weld rip spacers. Remove tack weld slag.
9. Connect the root pass into the tack weld to make complete merger. Apply a stringer bead round the base of the connection, uncover slag at each pass.
